Back in the summer of 2024, a group of friends were taught how to play Mölkky by Mick Harding, who had represented Great Britain in Ostrava, Czechia at the EuroMölkky 2024 Nations Cup.

There were 6 of us that used to frequently meet up in a local park for some fun Mölkky sessions and yes, initially we got some funny looks and people often asked what on earth we were playing, but word spread, more people joined in and in August 2025, Kent Mölkky Club was officially established by Marissa Murray and we now have over 30 players!
How it’s going now…
A number of our members competed at the inaugral Kent Open Doubles Tournament on 13th June 2026, organised by the GB Mölkky Federation Home – GB Mölkky Federation

The tournament was a fantastic day enjoyed by both players and spectators alike and to top it all off, 5 of our players walked away with medal positions, 4 of whom had only been playing for a few weeks!
