European tournaments are held as triples events, with each team being allowed to enter up to 4 players (1 substitute)
KMC had 2 teams that attended the European Mölkky Outdoor Championships at Nottingham City Pétanque Club. This is the first time the UK have ever hosted the EMO and what an experience it was. The exceptionally high standard of Mölkky on display from players from all over the world was amazing to see, and when I say all over the world, I mean Japan, France, Finland, Australia, Poland, Germany, Slovakia, Estonia, Greece – to name a few
Unfortunately both teams came away without any medals but we all came away with badges, lots of great memories, badges, new friends, badges, sunburn, badges, merchandise and did I mention badges?

Somehow, in a cruel twist of fate, both teams from Kent Mölkky Club ended up playing against each other in the B Tournament! One team smashed it with a 2-0 win over the other, but it would be slightly unfair to disclose that team Kent Mölkky Club beat team Big Stick Energy.
Shots. No, not that kind – that came later!
